Check one: is the eSIM data turned on
The most common issue is simply that the eSIM line or its data is still switched off. Go into your settings, select your travel eSIM line, and make sure the line is on and set as your data line. Turn on data roaming for the eSIM line, as this is how it uses the partner network abroad.
Check two: turn airplane mode on and off
If the line is on but still not working, switch airplane mode on, wait a few seconds, then switch it off. This forces your phone to search for the local network again and often connects it straight away.
Check three: restart your phone
