Refund Policy

1. Airline fare rules come first

Every ticket is sold under the fare rules set by the operating airline. Those rules — not this policy — decide whether a ticket can be refunded at all, and how much the airline returns. Whether your fare is refundable is shown on the flight before you book, and again on your confirmation.

Some fares are entirely non-refundable. Where that is the case, no refund of the airline's portion is possible once the ticket is issued, regardless of when you cancel.

2. Airline cancellation charges

Many refundable fares carry a cancellation charge set by the airline. Where one applies, it is deducted from the amount the airline returns. Where we know the amount in advance, it is shown with the flight before you book.

3. Booking and servicing costs

A portion of every booking covers the cost of arranging, issuing and servicing your reservation. That work is completed as soon as your booking is made, so this portion is not refundable if you later cancel — even where the airline's fare rules allow a refund of the ticket itself.

The exact amount is disclosed to you on the payment page, before you pay, and you are asked to confirm that you accept it. It is also recorded on your booking confirmation.

4. What you receive back

Where a refund is due, you receive the amount the airline returns to us for your ticket, less any airline cancellation charge, and less the booking and servicing costs described in section 3.

5. How to request a refund

Contact us with your booking reference. We will confirm what the airline's fare rules allow and give you the exact figure before anything is processed. Refunds are returned to the original payment method.

6. Timing

Once approved, refunds are submitted immediately. Airlines commonly take between 7 and 30 days to release funds, and your bank may add further time. We will keep you informed if an airline takes longer than expected.

7. Cancellations by the airline

If the airline cancels your flight, you are entitled to whatever their policy and applicable law provide, which may include a full refund. In that situation we do not retain booking and servicing costs — we pass on the full amount the airline returns.

8. Changes to a booking

Date and name changes are subject to the airline's rules and any charge they impose. A servicing cost may apply to changes; you will be told the total before anything is altered.
